Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement

 

Mayor A. Sohi called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, and acknowledged that City Auditor Recruitment Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Homelands. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Mayor A. Sohi conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of City Auditor Recruitment Committee.

That Attachment 4 be created and added to the January 23, 2024, Office of the City Clerk report OCC02271, and that the actions contained in Attachment 4 be approved, and that the January 23, 2024, Office of the City Clerk report OCC02271 remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy), 19 (confidential evaluations) and 24 (advice from officials)  of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
    2. That City Auditor Recruitment Committee recommend to City Council:
      1. That the actions outlined in Attachment 1 of the January 23, 2024, Office of the City Clerk report OCC02271 be revised per the in-private discussion and approved; and
      2. That the January 23, 2024, Office of the City Clerk report OCC02271 remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy), 19 (confidential evaluations) and 24 (advice from officials) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
