Call to Order and Related Business

Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement 

Acting Mayor J. Wright called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023, and acknowledged that Agenda Review Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Homelands. The Acting Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

Acting Mayor J. Wright conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Agenda Review Committee.

Councillor J. Wright was named the Acting Mayor / Acting Chair of the Agenda Review Committee pursuant to section 41(4) of the Council Procedure Bylaw 18155.

Mayor A. Sohi and Councillor K. Principe were absent with notice for a portion of the meeting.

Councillor M. Janz attended a portion of the meeting.

A. Corbould, City Manager; and A. Giesbrecht, City Clerk, K. Stolarz, Deputy City Clerk and R. Zheng, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.
