Councillor A. Knack called the meeting to order at 1:31 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024, and acknowledged that Council Services Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and the Métis homelands. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Councillor A. Knack conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Council Services Committee.

Councillor K. Principe was absent with notice.

Councillor M. Janz was absent without notice for a portion of the meeting.

    • Amend Policy C618B Councillors' Budget and Expenses Policy to allow the Manager, Councillors’ Office Liaison Team to approve common event infrastructure expenses to a specified limit to add to a common inventory.

      b. associated procedure documents including Reference Guide for Councillors: Administrative Services, so that the new Communication - Social Media Advisor classification for Councillors’ Office and alternative titles as outlined in the May 7, 2024, Employee and Legal Services report ELS02423.
    3. That the May 7, 2024, Employee and Legal Services report ELS02423 remain private pursuant to sections 24 (advice from officials) and 25 (disclosure harmful to economic and other interests of a public body) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
