Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement 

 

Councillor A. Knack called the meeting to order at 8:34 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023, and acknowledged that Agenda Review Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Metis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

 

Councillor A. Knack conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Agenda Review Committee.

Mayor A. Sohi was absent with notice.

Councillor T. Cartmell was absent without notice.

Councillor J. Wright was absent without notice for a portion of the meeting.

Councillor A. Knack was present as the Deputy Mayor for the April 25, 2023, Agenda Review Committee and as the Chair of Council Services Committee.

Councillor J. Wright was present as the Vice Chair for Audit Committee.

Councillor K. Principe was present as the chair of Community and Public Services Committee as per Administration's request to add the an item to the April 25, 2023, Agenda Review Committee agenda.

Councillor A. Salvador was named a Member of the Committee to maintain quorum, pursuant to section 17(1) of the Council Committees Bylaw 18156.

Councillors E. Rutherford, A. Stevenson and K. Tang; and A. Giesbrecht, City Clerk, K. Stolarz, Deputy City Clerk and R. Zheng, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.
