Councillor J. Wright called the meeting to order at 9:33 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2026, and acknowledged that Community and Public Services Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and the Métis homeland. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Isga, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Councillor J. Wright conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Community and Public Services Committee.

Councillor J. Wright was absent with notice for a portion of the meeting.

Councillor K. Tang; and N. Jacobsen, J. Shearer and E. Norton, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.

Councillor J. Wright declared a conflict of interest with respect to item 6.3, due to an interest that may appear to influence their ability to act in the public interest and will not participate in the deliberations or vote on this item.
