Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement

 

Councillor J. Rice called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2023, and acknowledged that City Manager and City Auditor Performance Evaluation Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Homelands. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

 

Councillor J. Rice conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of City Manager and City Auditor Performance Evaluation Committee.

Mayor A. Sohi is a Committee Member pursuant to section 15(3), Council Committees Bylaw 18156.

Councillors M. Janz, K. Principe, A. Salvador, A. Stevenson and K. Tang; A. Giesbrecht, City Clerk, and C. Martin, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.

    2. That a Special City Manager and City Auditor Performance Evaluation Committee meeting be scheduled in January 2024.
    3. That the December 8, 2023, Office of the City Clerk report OCC02209, remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal private), 19 (confidential evaluations) and 24 (advice from officials) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
