Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement

Mayor A. Sohi called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2022, and acknowledged that Audit Selection Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Metis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

Mayor A. Sohi conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Audit Selection Committee.

T. Ward, T. Orbell and E. Norton, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.

  1. That Attachment 1 of the June 17, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01298, be revised as per the discussion.

  2. That the June 17, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01298 remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy) and 24 (advice from officials) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

  That Audit Selection Committee recommend to City Council:

  1. That the individual listed in revised Attachment 1 of the June 17, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01298, be appointed to the Audit Committee as a Public Member, for the term: upon appointment to December 31, 2025.

  2. That revised Attachment 1 of the June 17, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01298 remain private pursuant to section 29 (information that will be available to the public) of the Freedom of the Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

  3. That Attachments 2 to 9 and the June 17, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01298 remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy) and 24 (advice from officials) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
