Mayor A. Sohi called the meeting to order at 1:34 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022, and acknowledged that City Council meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Metis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Mayor A. Sohi conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of City Council.

K. Stolarz, Deputy City Clerk, S. Parsons and J. Vizbar, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.

    1. That Attachment 1 of the October 19, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01438, be revised to reflect the in private discussion on October 19, 2022.
    2. That the individuals named in revised Attachment 1, of the October 19, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01438, be appointed to the Edmonton Police Commission for the term of upon appointment to December 31, 2024.
    3. That the October 19, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01438 remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy) and 24 (advice from officials) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. 
    4. That revised Attachment 1 of the October 19, 2022, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01438 remain private pursuant to section 29 (information that is or will be available to the public) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
