Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement

Mayor A. Sohi called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023, and acknowledged that Executive Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Metis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

Mayor A. Sohi conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Executive Committee. 

Mayor A. Sohi was absent with notice for a portion of the meeting.

Councillor T. Cartmell; and J. Vizbar, B. Tyson and T. Orbell, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.

  2. That Attachment 18 be added to the April 18, 2023, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01684rev, and that the actions outlined in Attachment 18 be approved.
  3. That the April 18, 2023, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01684rev remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy) and 24 (advice from officials) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. 
  4. That Executive Committee recommend to City Council:

  2. Conduct preliminary interviews with candidates as part of the review of the applications.
