Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement

Mayor A. Sohi called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023, and acknowledged that Audit Selection Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Homelands. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

Mayor A. Sohi conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Audit Selection Committee.

Councillor J. Rice; and A. Giesbrecht, City Clerk, K. Stolarz, Deputy City Clerk, J. Shearer and B. Tyson, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.

  1. That the June 29, 2023, Office of the City Clerk Report OCC01931, remain private pursuant to sections 17 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy) and 24 (advice from officials) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. 
  2. That Audit Selection Committee recommend to City Council:
  1. That the individual listed in Attachment 1 of the June 29, 2023, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01931, be reappointed as a public member of Audit Committee, for the term of January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2027.
  2. That Attachment 1 of the June 29, 2023, Office of the City Clerk report OCC01931 remain private pursuant to section 29 (information that is or will be available to the public within 60 days) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
