Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement 

 

Mayor A. Sohi called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023, and acknowledged that Agenda Review Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Homelands. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

 

Mayor A. Sohi conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Agenda Review Committee.

Councillors J. Rice and A. Salvador were absent without notice.

Councillors T. Cartmell and A. Stevenson were absent without notice for a portion of the meeting.

Councillor T. Cartmell was present as the Chair of Utility Committee.

Councillor A. Knack was present as the Chair of Council Services Committee.

Councillor K. Principe was present as the Chair of Community and Public Services Committee.

Councillor A. Stevenson was present as the Chair of Urban Planning Committee.

Councillor K. Tang was named a Member of the Committee to maintain quorum, pursuant to section 17(1) of the Council Committees Bylaw 18156. 

Councillor S. Hamilton; A. Corbould, City Manager; and A. Giesbrecht, City Clerk, K. Stolarz, Deputy City Clerk and R. Zheng, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.
