Councillor M. Janz called the meeting to order at 9:33 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and acknowledged that Urban Planning Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and the Métis homeland. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Isga, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Councillor M. Janz conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Urban Planning Committee.

Mayor A. Sohi is a Committee Member pursuant to section 15(3), Council Committees Bylaw 18156.

    3.2.2 The maximum number of Dwellings on a Corner Site is 6.

    3.2.3 The maximum number of Lodging House Sleeping Units is 4 per Site.

    3.2.4 Backyard Housing must comply with Section 6.10.

          2.  Delete Section 2.20.3.2 of the Small Scale Flex Residential Zone, and replace with: 

    3.2. Residential

    3.2.1 The maximum number of Lodging House Sleeping Units is 4 per Site.

    3.2.2  Backyard Housing must comply with Section 6.10.

    and return to the June 30, 2025 City Council Public Hearing.

    1. Add new Section 2.10.4.1.8 as follows:

    4.1.8 Maximum Site Coverage for all Garages - 15%

    and renumber all applicable diagram, map, Section and Subsection references within the Zoning Bylaw accordingly, and return to the June 30, 2025, City Council Public Hearing.

    With the unanimous consent of Urban Planning Committee, Councillor M. Janz withdrew the motion.
