Call to Order and Related Business

Call to Order and Land Acknowledgement

Councillor M. Janz called the meeting to order at 9:32 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2024, and acknowledged that Urban Planning Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory and the Métis homeland. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Métis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Roll Call

Councillor M. Janz conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Urban Planning Committee.

Councillor M. Janz was absent with notice for a portion of the meeting.

Mayor A. Sohi is a Committee Member pursuant to section 15(3), Council Committees Bylaw 18156.

Councillors A. Paquette, K. Principe, E. Rutherford, A. Salvador, A. Stevenson and K. Tang; E. Norton, J. Shearer and R. Zheng, Office of the City Clerk, were also in attendance.

  Policy C610 Review to Explore Enforcement Related Resource Supports

  That Administration review and propose recommendations to amend Policy C610 - Fiscal Policy for the Planning and Development Business Administrations to enable the inclusion of compliance activities related to permitted construction activities through a coordinated compliance team.
