Councillor T. Cartmell called the meeting to order at 9:34 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2022, and acknowledged that Community and Public Services Committee meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 Territory. The Chair also acknowledged the diverse Indigenous peoples whose ancestors' footsteps have marked this territory for centuries such as: Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, as well as Metis and Inuit, and now settlers from around the world.

Councillor T. Cartmell conducted roll call and confirmed the attendance of Members of Community and Public Services Committee. 

Mayor A. Sohi is a Committee Member pursuant to section 15(3), Council Committees Bylaw 18156.

Councillor K. Tang stated that at the next regular meeting of City Council, she would move the following:

That the 2022 operating expenditure budget in Community, Recreation, and Culture, Community Services, be increased by $325,000 on a one-time basis to provide funding to the Punjab United Sports and Heritage Association (PUSHA) to construct the water, sewer, and gas line installation at Ivor Dent Park with funding from 2022 Council Continency.
